It's week 12 over at and the subject is any character from the Jem cartoon. I decided to tackle one of the Misfits... so here is my take on Roxy. I took a lot of liberties with her design.

It's probably because I am my own worst critic... but I definitely feel like I could do better. I like to look at these Illustrious Bits drawings as practice and a way to try new things with design, anatomy and expression.

My friend's nine-year-old daughter is a big Jem fan. So awesome to see cartoons from my childhood actually regaining popularity, though Jem wasn't one I watched much of, personally.
