This one started out as a pinup. Then I accidentally painted her face looking tough as nails and figured I'd throw a dragon in there and make it more serious. Kept the pin up bewbs though cause I couldn't bring myself to paint them out >.<Related content

Very cool features design. She has an intense stare. Quite serious and menacing. I like her hair design as well. It has a tribal feeling to it, without appearing to deriviative. Maybe it's the haphazard plaiting that makes it a bit more real.
Other than that very busy piece. The transition the serpent goes through between the foreground and background its almost chaotic with the mixture of textures in such a thin portrait piece.

It is very chaotic, probably due to it originally not featuring a dragon at all ^_^. Not super happy with it, but I'd gotten a bit sick of working on it at the time

Hey, there's no rule that says a bad ass barbarian murder machine with a braid-hawk and a dragon can't have a magazine-ready set of boobs. Β Sometimes it just happens.
This is a cool picture, though. Β It took some boldness to have that one level on contrast, with the burning embers and the dragon eye against the earthy colors, but then to have that second level with the red hair and the pink feathers. Β And it works without looking like you were just splashing paint.

Omg, that happens to me a lot β the accidentally-drawing-fierce-women-slip-up. What can I say, I like badass-looking characters, and it tends to come through subconsciously.
