A small project I'm currently working on as a result of a journal entry bylocated here: [link]
The idea was to take a cartoon that has not been recently re-done and give the characters a new design. The journal is still up and I think the date for the sketches may change I am not sure though.

This is just a rough to show what I'm working on in terms of redesigning the characters from Swat Kats. Razor, T-bone, Dark Kat, and Dr. Viper are at about this stage as well, though what is taking me a bit of time is drawing the first two in their work outfits as well.
Nothing really big, I plan on staying fairly true to the original 1995 designs for the most part. As is evident here with how the pastmaster is currently turning out. Other than the fact that he is no longer an obnoxious little gnome of a villain.

Explanation: Ever since I entered the World Wide Web as a youngster in the late 90's having watched the SWAT Cats first run, I assumed the name of The_Pastmaster everywhere I went.

Awesome revamp of him! Probably my first favorite cartoon villain, and still one of my top faves. I like the rough look to some of the lines. Sweet work!

Swat Kats is the good stuff.
I agree tho, Pastmaster was pretty gnomeish. I do like the stretched out dude you have here, as he looks nice and imposing, though I can't lie - I miss that chin.

Whoa. Dude, this is great. I remember this character from one of my favorite Hanna-Barbara cartoons(Swat Kats first, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest second and The Pirates of Dark Water as third) from the 90s. But my favorite villain from the Swat Kats is Doctor Viper. I would love to see your rendition of Viper someday whenever you get the chance.
Anyway, great rendition on the Pastmaster, man. ^^
