Description
I guess dragons go here, I dunno.Anyhoo, very late commission for
I gave him the choice of colors, and he said dark green or orangeish-red. And since the few times I have drawn dragons I've used either green or blue, I went with something different. Fixed a lot of things from the sketch, and it's not perfect, but I rather like how it turned out.
And for some reason, it's not showing the preview image here, so click download for full view. ^_^

This is SO cool. I love the details in the wings and the tail and the glow of the orb of course. The composition with the stuff behind him is great.

Nice picture, I like the effects of the orb-thing under the dragon's paw.

Thanks. I've wanted to draw a dragon with an orb for YEARS, and this is the first time it's come out decently right.

Well, that's your reward for being patient with me. ^_^;
And you're welcome. It was good practice, even if it did take me a while. ^_^

I didn't either. ^_^;; That was the only pose I tried that actually worked. I really need to practice dragons more so my dragon character can get some art time. *L*

Ever seen a book called "Dragonart?" It's from an artist that I watched on DA for a really long time, *neondragon - I watched her way before she even produced a book, and even then, I only found out she produced a book when I saw it in Michaels, the Craft Store, and bought it! XD
Anyway, it's an awesome book, I love it, it teaches you to draw dragons and dragon-like/mythical beasts. But it's really good - I haven't really practiced with it, I just kinda enjoy looking at the pictures! XD But you should borrow it from your Library and check it out! <33

i've got it, and it helped out a lot with the wings! i can actually draw decent-looking dragon wings now, where before they were just two lines with skin between them...*LOL*
