Description
I've been working on a fantasy project for the past few months where these people like, almost worship, circles. Not really, but you get the idea. Anyway, I've had this vision in my head of this warrior girl moving from one battle to the next where ever she is needed. Here she is taking a break. Just like me. I just had to get this out of my head and get it uncluttered so I can move forward with this project. Now that I got this sketch out of the way it's back to work. Hopefully, that will be it and I can put this project away. Enjoy!Related content

I love your style. And even though there is so much detail, it looks so relaxed and natural. You handle a pencil very well.

After a long time of drawing, the hand is nothing but relaxed. I don't about natural, still working on that. kekeke

*fave'd* ... Evocative and telling its own short story, even without the wings being wholly finished, if you don't mind my saying so. (Hope you might come back to this and add some definition. Yet even such sketchy wings are still compelling. Am I emoting too much? {g})
She's showing her weariness while still being wary and prepared. I have to wonder if you're subtly alluding to the Spartan "return with your shield or on it" warrior code. At times, such fighters need a neither-of-the-above option.
Is this, by any chance, meant to be the same winged girl shown in another setting as being under her brother's protection ? I'd like to think so.
This fave is part of my "Do a Turnover of My Recent Favorites, with Comments, Catching Up on Overdue Recognition, as an Alternative to the Stupor Bowl" initiative. What better way to get a diversion from the Bread and Circuses spectacle? (It's certainly better than the much-vaunted commercials being shown this afternoon.)

I had recently completed watching SPARTACUSlood & Sands somewhat inspired by 300. Watching a woman in there do some battle is what gave inspiration to this piece carrying a shield. Unfortunately, I did not draw this to be the same character as you charge her to be. However, that does not mean they can be. I drew the pieces not adhering to any character I know or have in mind. I like elves. I like wings. I like warrior women.
When sketching, I always have the intent to come back and do more. Sadly thoughly, it rarely

You have got a very nice style. The 'scribble'-shading is beautiful.

I'll be trying different shading styles later. Glad you think so.

This looks really good. The overall anatomy and composition is good. The only things that could be fixed are her hair and the spear that look like they are trying to lead my eye out of the picture. Still, I love the details and light.

Yeah, I caught that on the spear but didn't care since it was just a sketch.t

The way you added enough darks in addition to lights is very well done. Most people forget that and it makes their drawings look flat. You pretty much mastered the perspective. The shading on the left wing is a little scratchy, not sure if it was because this is more of a sketch, but nonetheless, amazing job! Love her helmet's detail too! ^^

Yup, it was suppose to be a just a sketch but I couldn't leave enough alone and had to do more. Not too much with the wings though.
