Did you know your signature thing is also the 'Dare Devil' thing? When the journalist throws the match into the oil and lights the letters, it's like that. 
Anywho, critique. But before that... the wings are love 
I think the skin might benefit(sp?) from deeper shadows, maybe, the rest of it has more intense shading which makes the skin look a tad out of place. But only a tad.
I like how you have the ribbon coming out of it, it might look cool with some highlights where the light hits it and things.
On small view she looks like she has no eyebrows... probably because of my crappy eyesight and because it's small view
Anyhow I hope that was critiquey enough.

I quite agree with you there, since the contest has been extended, I may try to shade it a little darker...
I think so too - but only when in the foreground, as I meant it mostly as an unobtrusive background. 
Hahaha I didn't want to do them darker than that... She'd look like a yeti. XD
