"The second wave of gear jobs formed and attacked, knocking the gun from her hand before it could recharge. That was impossible. They didn't have the reasoning ability to work together. It couldn't be...

That's when the scanner in her infrared glasses heated up. It was reading cyborgs; high tech ones. These things had human brains. They knew exactly what they were doing. It was a trap. She didn't even have time to run before they were all on her, grabbing, tearing, trying to carry her off. But... why... ? What could the reason be?

"Central Market says bring this one to auction with minimal bruising and no broken bones," one of them said as he held her arm in a vice grip hand. "there's some high rollers that want her for very personal use."

"I can hear them asshole. You hear the best part, though? We're allowed to take samples. Heh heh."

And it sunk in. They were slavers. She had been set up to be sold to some shit hole of a region where the women were docile and possibly  infertile. Breeding stock or just as a toy. Either way, it was going to end with her under some crimelord who had the money.

And it dawned on her. He had said "take samples". These cyborgs might have more than just human brains. They might have other very human parts. Still functioning ones. She fought for all she was worth. She couldn't let them... let them..."
