Very classically done. I love the gentle blue and the subtle portrayal of sadness coming from this. Wonderful job..

This reminded me of this [link] . You should keep this up. If I were you I'd dive deep into Picasso's blue period and compare your use of colors to his as well as his aspects of 2D design. Although your's is an original any critic will say the samething.

This is a good work and you should be showing it in a gallery somewhere. You need to look into that. I looked at the rest of your gallery to compare. There are also hints of Cezanne in your works especially the landscape, although the colors are different the composition and the shaping of hte landscapes are mindful. The portraits are Picasso and Van Gogh in shape and the colors belong to you.

Keep up the good work. If you get a chance to co to Cincinatti go to the Cincinatti Art Museum they have the Cezanne I'm thinking of in their collection.

hey, the cincinatti museum is a great one. i went the whole way from here in harrisburg pa to cincinatti just to see a modigliani painting. i remember the cezanne. thanks for the comments. i am hanging in a gallery 2ndfloorgallery.com, but i retired that piece you mentioned. those blue period paintings i did were some of my first paintings and i just got to attached to them. thanks.

No problem at all, I sit and sort through all this stuff a few days a week. There's a lot of stuff out there that isn't good and a lot that is. Your's falls in the "is good," and it reminds me of stuff I've stood in front of and looked at. Cincinatti has a great collection, as do a number of other galleries. Looking at stuff online, in magizines, and in books doesn't do artwork the justice at all. I learned this when I stood in front of a Van Gogh for the first and admired what texture means to a painting.

This really is spectacular. Reminds me of "The Scream" by Edward Munch. I really like your choice of colors here. The perspective is also excellent.

A lot of emotion is evoked here. It brings to mind questions one might ask themselves as the silence becomes unbearable.

It's good to see traditional artists on DA doing work of this caliber.
