Description Just a little something I started on a few hours ago. This one was done with no tutorials, so you can see I'm learning a bit. It took me absolutely AGES to render because I had so much other stuff open, but it came out eventually.

Programs (Time)

  • 3D Studio Max (?)

  • Photoshop (~120 minutes)

I ask that you leave comments/suggestions so I can improve, thanks. Maybe even a ?

That looks a ton like the ship from Titan A.E. That purple electrical ship thing in the movie. That's a really nice job.

Thanks! It was my first real try at any lighting with 3D Studio Max. It's good to know that people think it turned out good.

I think you need more intense lighting around where the beam starts on the render.. and also scanlines don't really make this better
other than that good job, but the abstract render with beam shooting is way overdone

Yeah, I know it's overdone. At the moment, I'm just trying out new things and getting the hang of 3D Studio Max and learning some brushing techniques still.

The render was just a mess-around kind of thing, then it started looking good (to me).

Your English isn't too bad, either.

I didn't use any perspective in it. Think I should?

Thanks, too.
