Description Said God, "I made you what you are,
My loved Morning Star.  Why go against Me?"
Said Satan, "I am what I am, I long to be free
Why make me like this, to want more by far?"

"I gave you wings and voice divine
For praises and the sky-"
"But it was not my choice"

Retorted Satan angrily,
"And if those are your only gifts,
I'll of them be rid."

So Satan tore off his wings
And devour them he did
Grew new ones not of God's design.

I can never make poems rhyme and come out right, so I applaud you. xD

The style of this one fits right in with its content--it feels a little weathered, a little ancient, with the words like "retorted" and ending lines with "he did". Truly interesting piece!

Thanks! It's actually based off a short story I keep meaning to write, so that kind of explains why it's a little out there...
