The only question I need to ask to determine whether or not the ship in the picture survived that particular mishap is: was it still in combat? If it was not in combat then proper venting procedures would have saved it easily. If it *was* it combat, then it was likely destroyed shortly after the picture was taken.

Judging by a result of choosing one of the wrong options in the zoltan cruiser quest, the Rebels see humans as better than other species. This explains why rebel ships are always manned by humans

the damage doesn't look too bad, give a few minutes for the fires to be put out, then reseal the ship, and seal the leak, and the air will return to all but that room
