Haha I hadn't intended anything by the halo.  It's just a composition/framing element I tend to overuse in sketches.  And if it helps, the pattern I used in the background is apparently the carpet from the hotel in The Shining...so take that into consideration along with the halo.  And thank you, I'm glad you like it.

I'm just joking! And artists tend to be a little eccentric so a halo is not something that surprises me. The Shining? Well, now that's something a little disturbing Well done, though! Really nice gallery.
