Jane had at least convinced her suddenly very tall co-worker to put her down. Although, it hadn't felt like her request was being followed as much as Catherine humoring the diminished woman. It was a Saturday; so the brunette had not been expecting one of the more junior members of her team to have been the one knocking on her door. What was worse, when Jane had let the redhead inside - she had been eye-to-eye with her co-worker-turned-oppressor.

"You aren't as smart as you think you are, Jane." Had come the punitive comment. What followed was a detailed explanation about their team's R&D project which had had a few modifications made by Catherine - a team that Jane had been the lead of; and a project of which she was now the victim.

The brunette held her hands up, trying to placate Catherine's attitude - it was of a kind Jane had never seen before. She had to be careful.

"Catherine, listen very carefully to me. You've had your fun. Now it's time to turn me back - do you understand?" The suddenly shorter woman tried to muster as much of her authority as she could. A feat that was proving difficult whilst the doorknob slowly rose higher and higher in the corner of her eye.

The towering redhead was quiet for a moment as she leered over her dwindling boss. Then came a giggle that sent shivers down Jane's spine.

"Aww." Cooed Catherine. "You're so much cuter this way."

Jane's eyes widened. It was as if she hadn't listened to a word the brunette had said! What was more, it wasn't as though she had rudely ignored the shrinking woman's words in the style of a passive-aggressive co-worker. Catherine had seemed bored or uninterested - like an adult forced to listen to the ramblings of a child...

And Jane could still feel herself getting smaller.

This wasn't good.
