Ri’gantam
 Biology: Arachnoid Crustacean
 Diet: Omnivore
 Average Size: 12 – 15 ft. tall
 Regions: Dross, Necropolis
 Physiology: Ri’gantam are large arthropods that generally dwell near water bodies along Shariaku’s eastern coast. Their chitinous diamond-shaped bodies are supported by six pillar-like legs, and their bulbous heads are dominated by a single large eye and a vertical maw. They are a dull, rusty red in color. In order to support their weight, they have endo- and exo-skeletons. They have both lungs and gills due to their amphibious natures. They eat scavenged carrion and live prey, as well as eating plant-matter when desperate.
 Behavior: Ri’gantam are highly aggressive, and will attack anything smaller than them on sight. They are almost always found alone, although females will travel with their offspring (no more than two). They are active hunters, but their pungent scent drives most prey away, forcing them to resort to scavenging. They will use their razor-sharp spines to gouge larger creatures, and will simply attempt to stop and bite smaller prey. Ri’gantam only lay two eggs per year, and the females will stay and guard the nest fiercely.
