Ripper
 Biology: Ursine Insecto-mammal
 Diet: Carnivore
 Average Size: 4 – 5.5 ft. tall
 Regions: Jade Wastes, Necropolis, Oxide Desert
 Physiology: Rippers are deadly, compact predators that thrive in arid environments. Their short, round skulls are covered in numerous bony protrusions and small crests, with a larger, three-pronged crest extending from the back of the skull. Their large, red eyes are somewhat low, towards either side of the lower jaw. Their squat bodies are powerfully muscled and covered in spiky, chitinous armor, with two spines extending forward from the shoulders. Their forelimbs are tipped with three relatively short, yet razor sharp claws, with spines extending from the rear of the limb. Their hindlegs are similar in construction, but have a digitigrade structure and have five short claws. Curved spikes just from their spines, also razor sharp. Rippers are a deep, blood-red in color.
 Behavior: Rippers are largely solitary hunters that prefer arid, rocky environments. They are ambush predators, hiding in the shadows of rocky outcroppings, waiting patiently for prey to wander along. Once prey is spotted, the burst out of hiding, charging towards it, maiming with their powerful jaws and claws, goring it with their shoulder spines. Rippers mate once a year, producing a litter of 1-3 pups. The female raises them, teaching them to hunt; once they are old enough, they wander out alone into the wastes. Rippers can be domesticated if young enough, and make for fierce and loyal guardians.
