Although this is your 1st render I think you should submit a "done" piece, which means more brushing in PS, or redo the model/render.
Not bad tho. My 1st 3D piece sucked (reflective balls, euu)

not horrible for a first render, but try adding A. Color, B. Light, and C. Something either organic or completely metalic: don't get caught in between.
