I'm standing here, where I know you've been:
The last place I saw you, the last place I felt safe.
But as I look around, all I see are unfamiliar faces.
I can't hear your voice, I can't feel your presence;

The night cascades around me as I realize just how lost I've become;
I need you. I miss you.

The void continues only to grow deeper with each passing day.
Where are you? Why have you left me?
I'm searching desperately, looking everywhere,
Trying to find the mistake I made.
But each turn I take just loses me more,
Pulling me further into this darkness.
Why can't I feel you anymore?
Why is it that your very essence seems to have disappeared?
I don't know what I did to drive you away from me.
What did I do to make you disappear?
Each waking moment I can't help but think on it,
Trying to figure out just what it was that I did.
And I still don't know what happened.
If only I did.
Then maybe this would be a little bit easier to bear.
A little bit easier.
But I'd still be dying.
