Trees whisper, stars shine,
Dew glistens on the ground
As the moon smiles down,
Inviting the faeries to dance,
As they clamber from their hiding spots to gather;
Magic stirs the air
As they welcome the coming of the spring
That is accompanied by the end
Of the perpetual darkness
That for so long has cloaked the earth -
Their world, their home,
Once bright and brilliant
And once again to be.
