Description I'm slipping off the edge
That erodes beneath my fingers
As I struggle not to fall
Into the dark abyss below.

I clamber at the fading ledge,
My fingers digging deeper;
As they burrow further
More of me is lost.

I'm lost with that receding cliff,
Drowned with those fallen pieces
As I struggle to hold on
To what's not there.

well reflections travel fast,
but hearts beat faster.
all i really know is that
i stopped shining three years ago.

just because you can't see it,
doesn't mean that it's not there.
