The USS Enterprise was enroute to her next assignment when Lt. Uhura, the ship's Communication Officer, urgently spoke.

"Captain, I'm picking up a distress call dead ahead at extreme range. It's faint, and full of distortions, but I can filter it out as we close in.

Mister Spock, the Enterprise's Science Officer added, "Sensors confirm a vessel ahead, adrift and powerless. Life support is functional, but at low levels."

Captain Kirk acknowledged, "Understood. Mister Sulu, increase to Warp 6. Lieutenant Uhura, open a channel, let's see what she looks like."

Lieutenant Uhura nodded and answered, "On main viewer."

Captain Kirk swiveled his chair back to face the view screen and indeed found out what she looked like as the interference began to clear. The figure was obviously female, a sentient relative of the Tellarites most likely, but more human looking and possessing the prettiest set of blue eyes that he'd ever seen!

"....CRACKLE....First Officer Piggy...Ship...drawn into...*CRACKLE*... vortex. Can you...*CRACKLE*...*POP.*..assist us? My Captain and Science....*POP*...Officer are unconscious."

"This is Captain Kirk of the Federation Starship Enterprise. We're minutes away. Prepare to be beamed aboard to our Sick bay."

There was evident and obvious relief in First Officer Piggy's voice as she swooned, "Why...thaaank you...Oh, the room is spinning...and WOW, you're gorgeous! HUBBA! HUBBA! Oh...my...I...I"

FLUMP! She fell out of sight, obviously having fainted!

After that last comment, the entire bridge crew suddenly found themselves paying extreme attention to their consoles lest an errant snicker be detected by the captain!
