She does control her hormones. See SA 1 for example. Even though she has her ways on being persistent, just like Sonic and Sally combined, she still can control herself, and is aware of the mission before hand. But then, I can expect you to blow her faults out of proportion on accounting that the fanbase usually does it in sake of a pairing/character they favor.
(You do realize you can ship SonAlly without automatically comparing it to SonAmy, and Amy, correct? For example, my otp is literally SonAmy, and yet I don't mind SonAlly, admire their fan artwork/contributes, and love Sally.)
