Description Here's the extract of the IAC.

You may have noticed that MOST of my renders don't include textures. You may think, "What the hell, why can't he just texture it and be done?" Well dear fans, (You obviously are few in number... ) I must tell you that I can't texture wrap. Sure, I could slap on some generic hull texture or even leave it as a solid tone color, but would it look good? No. I'd rather leave it plain and simple and NOT screw it up if I can't do the full thing. (Normandu, don't even start about MAX and wrapping because YOU know that I know jack-squat about how to do it.)
The lights that appear on the hull are not my doing; KT and Podium alike seem to think that it's best to stick some illumination down there for some reason. I don't know.
I might come out with a MAC station render, sort of like Hausmann's picture. [link]
It's gonna be different than the good ol' Cairo Station, and it's part of a map me and JefRchrds were making and have since resumed progress on. (I got the custom map based on Cairo Station for Halo CE. I feared that it would be good, and we wouldn't stand a chance. I am now confident that we can kick its ass. )

I am with you on the texture part, cant do it either T_T so I chose to use clay-like color on my final renderings so it looks like a clay-concept-model
I am also using KT as rendering tool.

Well, playing around is pretty much how I learned to use Kerky. I had never used a rendering program before, and I just started plugging away at stuff to see how things changed. I'd recommend rendering images fairly small as you learn so you don't waste much time with changes that clearly don't improve things, though!

If you're using kerky, you can use the 'Ambient Occlusion' render setting, #23, in the render image box. That will take care of the light blotches. Another thing you can try is to increase the number of rays you're using.

lol thanks for the advice, but I'm not too experienced in KT. I'll try that next time though, thanks. (The last time I played around with the settings, it made it look like early dawn in the render.)

i can vouch for you on the lumination glitch, i got it on a wierd spot on foundry, which was good because it showed some detail in the areas that had no lighting, then i changed the settings a bit, light placements outside, view, and degree of angle for the camera, and twas gone, so i edited it lighter with photofiltre, btw, i will be getting photoshop real damn soon, hopefully my brother's ex-girlfriend is hooking me up.
