...seriously, do you get permission for a shoot like this, or is it all stealth?

I am in awe of the way you have blended yourself with the setting. It seems natural that you should be there. Remarkable...one of my favorite pictures this year. Bravo

Wow, brave girl! You look like one of those female figures on the front of a ship who bring good luck to the people on board!

I've always wondered on the logistics of his shots. Care to share? This is freakin killer. Way to have a super productive summer!

Very cool and thanks for the note back. The lack of cars really makes it. Which at 730 I would have thought there would have been more. Is he already set with the tripod before you rock the pose? I had similar ideas while I was in sf...on public transit. Would be epic. In any case rock on and woohoo!

Oooh, I too am curious about them logistics! Why are you hiding your reply? I'm of course not suggesting you can't do with your comments what you will but now I'm double curious - about the logistics and the secrecy. Pretty please.

The photographer wishes for his specific methods to be kept relatively quiet, as there are already people copying his style (not as well, I'd say, but I definitely understand his point).
It's your basic guerilla shooting. He's talented, and I'm (almost) fearless. There aren't many true "secrets" as far as I'm concerned.

I absolutely love the composition in this. Gary rocks!
I dont know what the sign really says behind the street light, but its just ironic that "the cop" is displayed below a huge heineken ad.
and your placement and pose are amazing. Amazing!

Yeah, he's fucking good.
"The Cop" - pretty awesome. (Can't remember the full name of the place.) I knew the beer ad would be in there.
Thank you, sweetie.

I'm very at home perched on traffic light poles in SoHo.
