lol no not nearly the quality of Helmut Newton, we wish, lol! Your work reminds me of a cross between Diane Arbus & Helmut. Plz don't ask me how I came to that. It just did. You down play your looks & bring out the spirit of your inner self. You (to me) have a beauty quality that is well suited for illustration (photography).

Enhancing tonality takes personnel taste & practice, much practice. My comment on this image is that I think the image is a little flat, & contrasty. I would make the shadow tones a little blacker, & I would burn in the foreground some, because my eye went to the area below the mirror, which distracted me.
In order to have a well balanced image, the eye must go all around & not be distracted by any area outside the subject matter.
