This won't make much sense to most of you, but I wanted to post this series anyway because it was so much damn fun.

The original concept was to poke fun at someone on a modeling networking website who had been predatory to at least 14 girls... as far as we know, it never went beyond internet and phone, so it wasn't horribly dangerous, or it was noticed before it could get that way. It would take too long to explain the symbolism of the bathtub and bananas, so just trust me that it's really frakking funny. As for the wine - well, if you know Sarah, you know wine just had to be involved. I love that girl!

While the nudity is present in this image, it is the expression in both your eyes and your smiles stands this picture apart from the rest. Clearly you both enjoyed the session, which makes the photograph extraordinary.

It seems to me that while technically excellent images can still be made with unhappy subjects, there is nothing like seeing genuine enjoyment in a photographic subject's face. It implies accomplishment of a joint partnership between photographer and model/s that produces something more than the sum of the parts.

Sarah and I love what we do. Modeling is our passion, and I think it shows in our photos. It's why people want to work with us. It's not because we're the most beautiful (well, she is, I'm not. lol) but because of our hearts, brains, and attitudes towards our art and fellow artists.

This shoot was pretty silly, but I have other stuff with her and Steve (the photographer) posted.

Having a love for what you do, that inner fire that gets you to go just that much farther when others would give up and quit, does show in your images. It is that passion that can take a technically good, but boring-subject-centered photo and turn it into a technically good, intriguing & relevant-subject-centered photo.

As far as beauty, I refer you back to the comments I made in my reply to your journal. I've met abnormally-beautiful people (the type that tend to end up on coverpages of magazines), and in person was not terribly impressed. That type of beauty fades (particularly with the types of lives those individuals lead) quickly. The only truly ugly person I've ever met was one of those abnormally-beautiful people; unfortunately she also had an extremely acerbic & malicious personality behind it. No amount of physical attractiveness could make her pretty.

Be glad that you have the kind of beauty that won’t fade as you age.

Sorry if I gave the impression I was saying Sarah wasn't beautiful. Quite the contrary.

It is just that most of the top-tier professional fashion/runway models all have abnormal-beauty. Either their limbs or features are out of proportion to the rest of their bodies, or they are preternaturally thin (often unhealthy thin). Many of the top-earning actresses are abnormally-sexy: probably because thats what sells films.

It may be just me, but its the normal people, with their normal-beauty, that draw my interest.
