Violin. I've used it in plenty of shoots, so I prefer to leave it at home unless someone has a truly unique concept for it. Of course for paid gigs I'll bring it no matter what, if it's requested.

Blur is used to a) give a picture dynamism (i.e. movement) and b) to create a link between the object in the photo and the viewer. Because it's blurred you know that someone has taken the picture and that their point of view is exactly the same as the images you are looking at. Therefore you are transposed into the position of the photographer but as a mere voyeur of the snapshot.
