The Lone Ranger opens on Wednesday and while I was excited to see it initially, the latest reviews are not good. That's too bad. I thought Johnny Depp looked really cool design-wise as Tonto (loved drawing the bird on his head)and Armie Hammer is the perfect actor to play the Lone Ranger. The good news for Disney is it might still make a buttload of money though despite the negative reviews. Oh well guess I'll have to go see This is The End again which if you haven't seen that movie, I strongly recommend you see it. I haven't laughed like that in the theatres probably since Superbad.

This is one of the best art pieces on Deviant Art and I mean that in all sincerity. You really captured the Disney Paper art style. I have to honestly encourage you to pick up Disney's The Lone Ranger on BluRay or DVD. The movie is solid and is one of the best modern Western films I've ever seen. Personally, I rank it up there on the awesome level at five stars. I really hated Cowboys and Aliens because although the film was really cool it lacked a lot in terms of coherent story telling. True Grit while a bit rough and violent was a fair movie. Rango was amazing. Disney's John Carter was also spectacular despite the fact that critics hated it. Personally, I curse all movie critics because they are always negative and hate on good movies and praise awful ones. I wish that movie critics were non-existent. I do hope that Disney will make sequels to The Lone Ranger and John Carter although it's slim to null; still I can dream.
Disney's The Lone Ranger had solid cinematography, excellent humor, an intriguing narrative and great elements of surreal mystique and action sequences.

I saw the film a couple nights ago, and it is now the favorite film i have ever seen ( excluding the fact that the main role was played by Armie Hammer.. jeez hes too hot !) Anyways, this is amazing !

Though this is a good drawing. Good job.
However this movie is one of the worst western movies ever made. I saw it myself and I was majorly disappointed in it. I don't recommend this to anyone, this movie was just a big mess, an entertaining one, but still a big mess.

I think I drew this because I had a great idea for a chivalrous hero who tips his hat to Meg. I initially wanted to see this movie but when I heard the reviews, I stayed away. Thanks for the non-recommendation. I might watch it on Netflix while I work....maybe. LOL

As for the movie... Well not only the movie critics thinks it's bad but the general public does to, however some might like it because of the action or because of Johnny Depp but this movie's story was ludicrous, and it's organization was just pitiful. But my little cousin wanted to see it so we went, definitely not worth the time or the money, even my little cousin agreed that it was bad. This movie showed no relation to the original TV show. I was a fan of the original TV show and I'm part of the new generation as well, and this movie totally ruined the partnership between Tonto and the Lone Ranger, and the characters were imbeciles. Even if the William Tell Overture started playing it still wasn't enough to save this movie.
