Yes. He had pneumonia. He had been dealing with a chronic lung condition his whole life. Β

He was well cared for. He spent a lot of time with his grandson TruaΒ and his daughter Malia. He was one of my favorite orca. I miss him very much.

I will admit, he did kinda scare me. Big animals have that effect on me

Well, he did weigh about 12,000 pounds, and was about 22.5 feet long. But I loved him. There was something about him that drew me to him. He was very sentimental to me.

Yes. He was the first orca I met and interacted with. He was the largest orca in captivity.

What about the sharks?

I think guests can take their own photos during the Sharks Up close tour. We don't have anyone photographing that tour.

Hello, You take beautiful pictures that I'm sure aren't easy to take with all the movement and water splashing; etc.
Β Β Can I ask you something? Do you know how long Tilikum is? O.o Just curious?

Tili gets excited when there is something new in his environment. And not that the guy's life was less important, but he shouldn't have been there in the first place after hours, let alone getting into Tili's tank. Apparently he was very distressed.

Tilikum! What a great picture of him!Β
ziparis : They aren't 'poor animals'. They aren't abused in any ways, and SeaWorld is not a circus. Everything the orcas do is natural, and the extras aren't things they aren't capable of. Think of dogs that can give you a handshake. It's not natural for them, but it doesn't hurt them either.Β

And I'm sure dogs would love to be kept in such a relatively small enclosure all their lives. As would you, I'm sure. Let's say a 10 foot by 10 foot pen - just enough for you to walk around, maybe jog a little bit, put in a couple windows so you could see outside - Yea, you'd be real happy with that, yes? Β

One of the reasons I put disclaimer in the description is because I don't want conversations like this on my photos. If you want to discuss it (or argue if that is what it ends up becoming), take it off my photography and do it privately. The other reasons can be found on my profile page. Thank you.

SHE replied to MY post, and quite stupidly I might add. I have a right to counter, no?

This was actually meant for both of you, and anyone in general. They should have responded to you privately in my opinion.

Doesn't matter if it was a month ago. The fact is is that Earth said to refrain from anti-cap comments.

Do you actually think that you are in some way superior to these animals? More intelligent, or more conscious in some way?
