Description
Well, here is a rough animated sketch of a species of creatures I made up. So, mine... No can haz... Anyway, he is like a large reptilian dragon horse thing. I do realize that he is a giant lizard critter and he runs like a cat. Deal with it... XDAlso this particular character's name is Odin. In his final design however, the his left shoulder spike is broken off and he is wearing a saddle harness that takes up a good amount of room on his shoulders and back.
The average size of these creatures is about seven feet at the shoulder. They tend to be thin with large forearm/shoulder muscles. Their back legs tend to be skinny and their hide is leather rather than scaled.
They tend to be soft earth tones in color with black rimming their eyes and crystal white for irises.

Very nicely done run cycle, and I look forward to seeing more of him!
The only thing I might point out, is when a horse or cat runs, I think the neck stretches forward a bit more and the head turns up a bit, but other than that it is very realistic and well animated! ^^'

I love it, Ebony! And you've got the species design very well thought out. Until I read your description of their colors, I would have guessed he'd be blue-skinned. XD I've watched Avatar too many times, obviously. Earthen colors make more sense.
His body structure resembles a cat more than a horse (but some dragons do tend to have a resemblance to cats in structure), so I think his gait is very fitting in consideration of his body structure.
All in all, very very well done! I'd be very interested to hear what you plan to do with your species. Are you planning a story or a graphic novel featuring this species? I'd definitely want to read it if you are!!!!!

Thank you very much! I haven't really come up with the strict rules for this species so I may have a few of them be a soft grayish blue maybe ^^" They tend to live in the South American jungle so blue might be too outstanding for the jungle... But then again Jaguars are gold and spotted so we shall see ;D
As for my plans, I do plan on something for these guys but it may have to be in the distant future because they exist alongside humans and I suck at drawing humans :/

It's possible that they could be a kind of blue-gray. Probably more gray with a slightly bluish hue. Maybe it's a recessive genetic trait?

They actually in rare cases can be blue-ish gray ^^ I've already come up with all the basic information in a gigantic picture that I will eventually upload here. It gives all the information a person would need to understand the creature and make one themselves ^^

Ok! I think it's easier to think if there's someone out there to ask all those random questions that the artist (or in my case, writer) won't ask themselves. An artist or writer will always see the flaws, but a viewer or reader can see room for improvement where the artist or writer might need it without knowing it. Or at least that's how it is for me most of the time.

can i make a diffrent species like how bats have all diffrent kinds of species like a furry one and then there is this one?

Well I have actually a couple of spieces that are from the same family tree as these guys. Like tigers, lions, leopards and cheetahs are all big cats. This species that I created is like the tiger of the big cats. I will eventually put up the different types of species I have been creating and then you can make one if you want, like an OC of sorts ;D

I'm actually thinking of creating a huge file about these creatures, giving out all the info about their origin, size, thought patterns, colors and various other things :3 Once I do that you can have an easier time figuring out an OC or something ^^
