This was in front of a house near where I was staying in Ft. Worth. As usual, my phone's camera doesn't do it justice. Sticking old boots on fence posts is kind of a tradition in this area of the country, but this is the first hat tree I've seen.Related content

Is the blue "vine" like a lighted rope or something?
A lot of people here in Florida will use rope lights on palm trees.
We don't see boots on fence posts, but i do see rubber boots in between the cab and bed of pickups. what's up with that?

Yeah, that's one of those rope lights, but it doesn't light things up worth a shit. Could have done better if I'd had my 400D or T2i with me, but who thinks of taking an expensive camera along when you are having heart surgery?
As for the boots: If you've gotta have rubber boots for your job (think masonry or concrete crew, for example) you don't want them in the cab of your truck. But if you leave them loose in the bed, they get full of water and crap. So stick them upside down in the space between the cab and the bed; they don't get crap inside and they don't make a mess in the truck.
