Nah, went there for the real thing. I've been going nearly every year since 1999 or 2000. TV is definitely good, but going to at least one race is a must.

$80 at the gate for the one day, $100 at the gate for the four day ticket.

i would rather pay the extra 20 for three more tickets.

It's a much better deal to do the four day ticket and I would say most people opt for them, a hotel, or an RV and just stay at the track. This year was pretty much the first year we did the one day, we usually camp out at the track or get a hotel.
