Description
The common Tahur is found across Western Adlesia in a variety of habitats, including the Ibizan Highlands, the semi-humid grassland/scrub, as well as the southern Montejojan Coastline. This species is slightly more terrestrial than arboreal but are still capable of climbing trees, and may nest there during the night to avoid ground predators. Mortality rates are higher due to its smaller size. Generalized omnivores, they lean slightly towards plant matter for sustenance including grasses, ivyris, ivys, and anabasis blossoms, but are also known to raid bird's nests, and feed on a wide variety of invertebrates including weevils, splendour beetles, and snails.

These gregarious animals travel in energetic bands of up to 95 members. With an overabundance of tahur, fights are more likely to break out and result in group splits. Their social structure differs in that female's hierarchy is more fluid, like that of the males, although she may choose to remain in her natal group it is not uncommon for a female to leave with a male and start a new troop, or she may join a rival group when troops cross paths. They are highly territorial and do not accept other groups in their space.

During this time chaos can erupt as males and females may try to leave to join the rival group amidst all the fighting. often they can be heard in the early mornings and evenings sounding out their territorial calls, which sounds like a rising high-pitched whistle, before heading off together in search of food. Competition with one another is intense, and they may use strategies for moving up in rank such as banding together to target a weaker tahur or grooming a high-ranking member. Both males and females help rear the offspring, the males to a lesser extent but they still display some paternal care. up to two babies can be born at a time, and are fairly precocious.(edited)
