Yeah, ok, I was bored. And I had just bought the latest “Pix” magazine. I saw this, and thought it was really cool! The trick here, is the lighting: you want to capture mood, yet at the same time, you try your very best not to capture reflections in the glass…this is damn difficult! I used an ordinary tungsten lamp with a sheet of paper in front of it… (Who needs a studio?!) …this was placed behind the objects, and created a sort of silhouette. The symmetry and colour in the glass is caused by refraction (I think!) and the dark half is actually the bottle flipped and distorted by the water. It proved quite difficult to line the real bottle up with the refraction in the glass!
