Ta-Dah! my entry for 's TTA contest.It's an illustration of a bit from one of my favourite TTA episodes, where Kirbopher faces off against Cailen!
I guess this doubles in as a gift for my good buddy Cailen eh? yay! hope you like it too Cailen :3
The contest said that the entry had to be handdrawn, i'm really hoping that this is okay, because it is still hand-drawn but using a wacom tablet. It started as a rough sketch anyway though. It was all done using a Wacom tablet, so although it is made all pretty with the digital-ness, it is still hand-drawn.
I don't know how far i'll go because i've seen some REALLY good stuff being entered, but hey here's to hoping.
Stil need to get to work on completing my sprite sheet so that this entry is valid for Kirb's contest, so i still got work to do.

I am a big fan of the TVTome Adventures series, and this is an AWESOME picture!
Honestly, I have seen a lot of fanart, and this is one of the best pieces, especially considering that it depicts a memorable moment in the series.

Getting the effects isn't a problem, it's adding that crucial pinch of 'special' to them that changes them into 'special effects'.
That stuff costs a packet though, $54.95 per cup!
That's why i always buy that stuff using death threats instead of money, it works the same but it's free!

Ok, E-J, you win. Anyway, I'm getting Photoshop, so the quality of my art shouldn't be a problem anymore, but if they are, well, WHO CARES!!!!! I'm slowly getting past my ability that makes me think even an infant's scribbles are better than my artwork. BTW, I'm attempting to make some sprite sheets, anyone know how to recolour?

I like to think i didn't get to where i am all by myself, that someone helped me along the way, but honestly speaking i think everyone has the potential to draw well, it's your choice whether you are passionate about it or not, and only through that passion will any blessing make itself shown.

Just faved this GOD-BLESSED piccy drawn by a GOD-BLESSED artist! If you look in my gallery, you'll see just how badly I draw. I was planning on doing some picture of Kirb1111 with Alpha w/ Kagemamoru arm, Zetto, and Super D-Bug in BG, but I was so ashamed of it, I just gave up.

Oh come on, quit being so hard on yourself. All you have to do is keep drawing and you'll improve. But just make sure you don't force yourself, if you do, then you'll be thinking too much about what you're drawing and it will turn out as a bit of a forced image, so in other words, it's better if you're comfortable and just drawing for the fun of it! If you have times when nothing you draw is coming out the way you want, just do what i do and take a break from drawing until you're comfortabe and cool-headed.

I got to where i stand now by slowly getting through my stubborn head that i shouldn't be comparing my work to others, and instead i should just draw for fun, and quit being so competitve.
Everyone improves at different rates and at different times, dont be discouraged if your work isnt turning out the way you want it to. okay? you take care now.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Great work here. Loved the special effects with Kirb's sword and Cailen's talons and the background. It's also great to see your name on one of the disks there. No wonder Kirb considered your entry a winning one. Good luck on the flash series TTA man! You'll need it.

Thanks for the compliments there, those special effect-thingies took a bit of tweaking to get 'em to look the way i wanted, so it's good to see that you like them. As for the disc, well i HAD to put my name somewhere, and it just seemed like so much fun to place it there >:3
Good luck on the flash series? hey, Kirb'll be needing that good luck, he's the one who makes the episodes and puts up with harassment from fan-boys screaming for their new episode! But if you meant in terms of the voice acting and the sprite-sheet, well i've already done both of those things. i need to get them on DeviantArt sometime though dammit. :T

Thanks Sunset! Cailen's face changed a few times before i got it right, at one stage he looked too much like a sonic the hedgehog character, so i 'tweaked da beak' and hey presto!
I really need to submit more work to DA dammit, i just never seem to have time for it somehow.

Really? I had something kinda like that happen to Jet too. He looked like a girl, but I tweaked his hair and eyebrows a bit and it was better. It's nice when they're a simple fix. You did great on this pic. ^^

Teach you awesome drawing skill eh? i'm afraid that i'm not that great a teacher. all i can really tell you is that it all begins with practice and a passion. You have to find your 'style', so try experimenting with different styles and even mixing and matching aspects of styles with eachother, you could get something that is very unique that way!

Ah, i know your entry! Yours is one of my favourites, you've made excellent use of composition to bring both aspects of the featured characters to life. I also love how you drew Alpha's 'virus arm'.
Great work on those colour pencils too, don't worry about not having photoshop it's not a crucial factor in creating art. Your concept is creative enough my friend!

Screwed? PAH! don't say things like that. you don't have to be good at photoshop at all to be able to stand a chance in this contest, just creative in your ideas and patient in making your masterpiece, by whatever means you choose to make it, whether that be using photoshop to add effects, or using stylish traditional means like colour pencils and markers. I'm not too great with colour pencils myself, i need more practice there.
So don't give up so easily my friend, everyone has an equal opportunity here, and i'd personally love to see what you come up with for this contest.
