Description Rhys' vision became fuzzy, his eyes barely open. He couldn't hear a thing, as his vision slowly started to clear up. Incapable to perceive sound, the male porcupine was unable to hear anything. Only a light sounding buzz echoed from his triangle shaped ears, when Rhys got shook unexpectedly. "Whaaa!!!" The hedgehog felt a tight grip on the portion of his jacket. The grip didn't seem to be a powerful threatening one, but good enough to hold someone still. Rhys turned his drooped head, glancing just in time for his vision to refurbish. What he saw was Smash, expressing a sigh of relief. "Glad you're alright." He said, removing the hold from the jacket. "What'd you do, fall asleep on me?" "I…don't remember…exactly."

He felt somewhat feeble, but was able to sit himself up groaning in pain. The porcupine's head was still throbbing, resting his right hand on his temple. The aching had lightened, not being as agonizing to Rhys' cranium. "You don't remember huh? Well while you were snoozing Rhys, I had to endure and watch this lame excuse of a contest." Glancing up, he caught sight of the crowd and stage still there. Yet, the porcupine realized he was on the ground, sitting up against the wall behind the crowd. There was a small amount of space between the two associates and the mass of people in front of them. Rhys' eyes widened, knowing he still had to participate.

"I wasn't called up while being unconscious was I?!" His attention turned to Smash, seeing that the echidna's arms were once again crossed as he stood leaning against the wall beside him. "No, you're quite lucky. There's only 3 contestants left to be called and you're one of them." The blue echidna stated with an annoyed yet slight intense expression upon his face. Releasing a sigh of relief, Rhys stood up after he took some time to recuperate. Then the two comrades march back into the crowd, hearing and watching them clap as the latest contestant had finished performing.

It was an anthropomorphic feminine cat that appeared to be around Rhys' age. Her attire was revealing, for the feline clothed herself in a tight black t-shirt. The female's stomach was exposed, showing her grey almost white fur. Giving off a gentleman like bow, Rhys noticed the cat's figure was quite lean, as she stood in skinny blue jeans. They seemed too tight, like as if it was attempting to squeeze the life out of her. He couldn't get a good look at her due to Smash setting his big mitten like palm on Rhys' shoulder. "Hey, you alright kid? You don't look so good." Moving only his eyes to the side toward Smash, Rhys replied with a nod but it didn't seem common.

His expression appeared to be distressed, watching the feline walk off stage with a sad frown on the hedgehog's mouth. Few members of the audience clapped from the cat's performance, hastily converging into silence. Rhys didn't say a word nor budge from his position, keeping his point of vision straight ahead. Smash remained quiet, expression mounting in concern, as his eyes looked at his distressed friend. During all of this, the young adult male hosting the event returned front in center, standing on the stage. "And now, lets bring forth our 8th contestant shall we? Could we have the last three participants come up to the stage please?"

As requested, Rhys stepped forth along with the remaining two participants as they walked up onto the stage. Rhys first, followed by the other two and they all stood in the center, waiting for further instructions. Curious, the porcupine peered to his right, eyes catching sight of the male host having a discussion with a strange man. He seemed to be in his late 30s or early 40s. The fully-grown adult male was very masculine, having brawny, yet hairy upper limbs. The dark arm hair was exposed along with the man's muscular, root like arms. Gazing closely while the two humans had their conversation, Rhys noticed how built and fit the older man was.

He was eye level with the young male, even though the man had one foot on the higher and lower step. Upon the male's face were a light but dark fuzz of a beard. The hedgehog watched the sturdy man rub the palm of his hand, along his own jaw line down to the man's chin. He was dressed in a red collared shirt, a shirt pocket visible at the man's left portion of his chest. . The conversation was brief, as Rhys, observed the man nod and wander off through the crowd. "Alright folks, sorry about that. Now, where were we? Oh yes! We have to choose our next contestant of course!" The youthful male paced along giving short stares with an expansive smile, showing off his pearly whites. His expression grew serious, in a thoughtful mode while the man passed by a second time. Walking by Rhys a third time, the host pointed at the person next to him.
