"I'm really sorry Blaze." Silver said as he watched the female cat sweep up pieces of a vase. "Its fine," she replied. "The vase was special but I know you can be a clutch at times." Hearing how important it was only made the hedgehog feel worse. He didn't mean to drop it but hoped he wouldn't get in trouble for it. Blaze threw the shattered pieces away and walked around the room. 'Blaze?" "Yeah?" The cat said looking at herself in a tall mirror. "Are you sure its alright with that vase broken?"

"Yeah…" The light purple feline placed her arms around her chest keeping her head down. Concerned, Silver put his hand on Blaze's left shoulder pondering what could have been bothering her. The hedgehog got the courage and asked, "Is something bugging you?" The cat shut her eyes refusing to speak. Knowing he had to do something, the silver hedgehog moved to the side anticipating it would get Blaze's attention.

He shifted his eyes at her noticing she hadn't moved an inch. Her eyes were still shut keeping her arms tangled up and stood there in silence. "I feel horrible when she gets like this. Blaze probably feels the same when I act that way too. She just looks…" Silver felt a strange feeling in his stomach. Like as if they were butterflies fluttering around happily in an endless garden of flowers. "What is this feeling? I feel like I'm going to throw up. Plus my cheeks are warming up. It couldn't be from that soup I had earlier. What's going on with me?"

Gazing upon Blaze caused his cheeks to warm and red up a bit more making him realize. "Could…could I be falling in love with Blaze? I know we've been best friends for a long time. It's strange that I didn't have this feeling till now. Maybe it could be time for us to take things to a new level. Oh, but what if Blaze doesn't like me back? She'd feel uncomfortable to talk to me if she didn't. Ugh man up Silver! This could be the start of something new! I'll do it!" The hedgehog decided on his agenda stopping next to Blaze.

"Blaze," he said in a gentle tone. The feline opened her eyes looking at into Silver's as he started talking about how they've been good friends and the feeling hit her. "Why do I feel so warm staring at Silver? I've never felt this before. Wait! Is he trying to ask me out? I can see the blush right on his face. We've been friends for so long. Cheeks turning red, the cat answered, "Yes… yes I do." Both of them blushed as Blaze wrapped her arms around the hedgehog's neck while Silver wrapped his around the feline's waist. They slowly leaned eventually touching each other upon the lips. Their blush rapidly grew with their hearts racing. The light purple cat kept her arms around his neck hugging him knowing that her troubles might not last for much longer.
