Drew this up for Dawn over at DragoArt.com. This was a fairly speedy drawing, which is kind of unlike me these days. After slaving over these ultra-detailed thumbnails and not having much success, I decided to just throw caution to the wind and try to have fun with this guy. The result? *shrug* I'll leave that judgment up to you. I did have some fun with it, though. Hopefully a bit of a jump start to get me drawing again.The rain was actually taken from some online source, though I did fiddle with it a bit. The art consists of a marker sketch, inked in SAI, and colored in Photoshop 7.

Now this is a drawing I would bow down to saying "I'm not worthy I'm not worthy! o3o" and yes I'm dead serious right now the jaeger itself, you nailed the detail on it perfectly and this is the first time I've seen one drawn like this and I definitely suck at drawing mechs I kid you not because of all the detailing that has to be done just to make it totally perfect, but overall this is definitely kickass and I am now I'm seriously bowing down lol. But yeah nicely done and good work on it!

since it was the americans jaegar why didnt they call it uncle sam or the steel patriotΒ
i mean i would have said iron patriot but that was already taken in iron man 3Β

This is nicely done. I have trouble with mechs because I don't do line art I just paint over a rough sketch. Well thats what I did for my Pacific Rim picture. But yea I like this!! Its awesome.

Is it just ne or does the armour look similar to Commander Shepard's armour from the Mass Effect franchise? Just a thought, other than that this drawing is fantastic. Nice work!

Absolutely no idea. I haven't played any of the Mass Effect games or bought any of the figures. Maybe I should check it out, though. It does seem like these days a lot of stuff does look alike, though. Lots of the same designers, or artists inspired by the same sources, working on these projects.
Hope to do a more detailed version in the future, and possibly a more organic armor as well.

Apparently it's an award-winning game of sortd. The first can be bought pretty cheap. And yes you are quite right.
