hmmm,......no school like the old school.I always thought these three as like the three powers of the first game....kind of like monarchs....
hmmmmm.....the scanner didn't do this justice......
done in prisma color markers.....took about all in all.....2 hours
mr. dark, betilla, and the magician all (c) of ubisoft
Edit: This was like, what? One of my first pieces I ever submitted? And it got a lot of love...hmmm...
I wonder...I kinda dropped this style trying to master the style the game was in...but perhaps it is time for a return to this...I do miss it so.

that'd be pretty neat, but I do like the new designs as well ( though I was a bit bummed out about mr. dark) I actually sometimes think of doing a revamped version with the new designs

Yeah, Mr.D was a bummer. For some reasons teensies just don't seem fit to play the role as a...well, whatever mr. dark is(cool creep villain guy?)Would be awesome if you drew the new designs!

I really like this style of shading. Something about seeing the lines made by the marker, just adds something digital can never truly recapture. The series is so heavily art based too. Really great job. ( Has inspired me to pick up my own pencils and markers again )

I definitely enjoy a certain roughness or sketchiness to my work, kind of adds a certain amount of action to it in my opinion.

I definitely remember those three <3 Major part of my childhood, that game. I'm currently playing through it again on my computer. I just need the remaining cages. There's at least a million left to find, what fun .
Anyway, I very much love the style here an I do agree with those three being like the three powers in the game. Just wish they stuck around for more serious titles instead of educational games, nothing against them, Rayman Brain Games was very fun. Just wanted to see something more serious with the three. But enough side tracking, I would like to see this style come back too. Very unique.

Rayman 1 is the only really good Rayman game. Rayman 2 is OK, but it's just not my cup of tea. At least in 2, they tried to keep the swirling, dream-like
and cartoony feel of the original. After that, they just took turns abusing Rayman with a pointed stick.
This piece has a really organic feel, with the swirls and light touches of colour. I also love the hair. It makes me wonder what other hidden gems lurk in your gallery.

I could gawk at this for hours and would not grow tired of it. The fluid style, the bright colours, and the life of the image are all just too beautiful.
