Description
This painting is inspired in Gary Baseman´s artwork. They are eating the one to the each other. The title says "We believe in love", maybe love somebody is eating that person.Related content

I really enjoy your comment, thank you!, because I am a big admirer of the artwork of Takashi Murakami and the other artists from the KaiKaiKiki group, specially Chiho Aoshima and Yoshitomo Nara.
This painting is really inspired in the artwork of Gary Baseman, haven´t you heard about him?. His stuff is really really great, I traveled to Los Angeles a few months ago and met him in a show, I really like his style. Is fun but dark.
By the way, I love your avatar, is precious.

I love Gary Baseman, he's so cool and so simple. This is a very nice tribute to him. Also reminds me of Keith Haring a little. I'm a little curious about the shadow in the corner...

A pop version of the Ouroboros. Very witty and well executed. Was the allusion intentional, and did you also mean to reference "The Never Ending Story" by Michael Ende?

The myth and symbol of the Ouroboros, the snake that eats itself is really wonderful. It wasn´t intentional, those dogs will never stop eating themselves, maybe they´ll be doing that forever. .About the "Never Ending Story", I haven´t read the books, I have just seen the movies.

hey dude this is a cross between salvador dali's cannibalistic thing and gary baseman.. yeah this has gary baseman written all over it lol. very fucking nice man, hes one of my favs, actually.
but yes this pic also goes along with salvador dali's surrealistic thought pattern.. the thought that eating was a loving thing and that explains the painting im thinking of.. cant remember the name.. too lazy to look it up.. sigh.. lol

Ohhh, thanks for your words... ummm, talking about Dali, the greatest spanish artist after Picasso... the background patters are not inspired in his surrealistic stuff (but looking it again it seems so familiar...), it are inspired more in the mexican folk art, a style that I am in love with.
By the way I really admire Baseman´s work too!.

h yeah dude but i was saying like.. the whole symbolism of the two eating each other... yeah dude that whole symbolism portrays something of dali's... hold on ima look it up.. lol
*hold music
Autumnal Cannibalism is the piece i was refurring to. just like the whole meaning of it.. you should try to look it up cause muh computer has a virus so i cant use search engines to look up anything but images.. so look up the meaning of the lovers eating each other.. its very interesting.
i really like this piece man.
