Raiding your gallery again.
And sitting in front of my computer with my jaw hanging low again.
Happy New Year, too.

Sorry for such a late reply. It was taken in Alberta.

wow that's just completely untouched wilderness. Canada is definitely up there on my "must see" list.
...but no dinosaurs? (very silly reference to title)

It was a beautiful place. I'm sure it looks much like Austrialia.
No dinosaurs spottings, at least not on this trip

This is wonderful.
It reminds me of the film. The Land Before Time. With the dinosaurs and stuff.

Sometimes, the D70 can require a little bit of coaxing when it comes to white balance in the outdoors. It has issues with green and yellow, and often requires a lot of + blue correction. Or ironically if you force "daylight" WB, you'll have a lot of blue that you might need to bring back down but the files are definitely much more workable. Sorry to get all "workable" and digital on you, but it's a fact of life... The highlights need +blue, the mid tones need -green, and the shadows need -red. If you just look at enough landscape photos, you can start to feel color temperature very well. Keep up the good work though, and keep posting pics from your vacation. I'm so jealous of your massive trip...

The colours are perfect! I especially love all the different shades of green.
I like the mountains in the background, they make the picture...I can't think of a word...uhm, deeper? Sort of stronger and more powerful. I hope that makes sense
You've used the thirds technique well.
To me, the picture feels whole, I don't think there is anything missing. The only little thing is the mountain on the far right, it's quite dark. Apart from that, it is an amazing picture! Well done Patrick

Thanks for the detailed comment I'm glad you like it, and I agree with you about the mountain being a bit too dark on the right side. I should've fixed that.
Thanks again.
