Damn dude. i feel so behind! i got my tablet around the same time you got yours, and i have not made progress NEARLY as much as yours, mostly due to lack of practice, and university. Your landscape paintings, and over all progress is absolutely amazing for your age. im 18, and im not nearly as good as you are, so im kinda feeling Jelly

I supposed I've had a bit of an advantage since I didn't get into any school last year and had to take a gap year. So much free time has let me devote a lot of time into practicing. Feng Zhu's videos were a big help too though (for what I'm doing anyways, which is landscapes). Most of it comes with time and practice though.
If you're willing to learn, you have to make a few sacrifices to manage your time better. I think. But especially with you going into uni, I don't know how I would manage that. I'm going into entrance exams for a school next Monday, so if things go well I'll have to start school after summer vacation and I suppose that'll leave me less time to paint too-- but it's a graphics-based school so I'll be still learning now that I think about it...

Haha, i see. Well i got my last Final on the 18th then i got a 4month break! so ill defiantly try and catch up. Me and a friend are hoping to create a game based on an idea we've had since high school, and I'm in charge of the Animation/Modelling and Concept art aspects of it. Not too sure how ill do, but were mostly doing it to improve our skills (He's studying programing). Good luck on your entrance exams, and again keep up the good work

Do you think you could upload a .abr of the brushes you use?

Well, most of the brushes that I use can be found within the default brushes of Photoshop. So like, calligraphic-type brushes and chalk brushes. And even if they aren't the exact same ones that I use, I really recommend chalk brushes-- they seem to be the best. They give a decent amount of texture and work really well imo. Many artists use them. (:
And, the rest of my brushes (of which some I use and some I don't) can be found in *JonasDeRo 's brush pack. ^^ I hope that gives you some insight. I don't think uploading an .abr would make sense right now, since.. well, like I explained, most of them are default and the other half is Jonas's stuff.

Yeah, I've been trying to utilize the chalk brushes for a while, some work decently for me, but I haven't really found a really good one that I like. But I was mainly wanting to try the settings you have on the brush you use in the videos.

Well, to be honest I don't play anymore either. I've been thinking about cancelling my subscription but sometimes I like to login and talk to some people, but I don't even RP anymore. :l As for PvE, well, I stopped seeing the fun in it years ago. :L Now I just.. play Guild Wars 2 and paint. And watch videos. And draw. And paint.

Yeah, I know-- it's kind of hard to see improvement in such a short time anyways. I guess I could've left out a month or two to create the illusion of a bigger leap in improvement. :d Although, I have improved! Obviously it's only 5-6 months so.. yeah, well, thanks. ^^
