Just so everyone knows, the fawn gene is recessive, represented by fwfw for expression, and Fwfw for carrier. Smoky fawn (fawn lightening without the spots) is represented by fws, and is recessive to the fawn gene. For smoky fawn to show, the genetics must be fwsfws, making it a very rare mutation indeed.
