I love the composition and drama, great image, great art. I personally don't think it is pornographic or requiring a mature rating. Perhaps some people have got pornography on the brain a bit too much and see it everywhere. And don't apologise for your art it isn't your fault if people choose to be offended by it. (sorry, haven't had lunch, got on my high horse)

I really don't think of this as porn. I think this piece executes the idea behind it very well--hope can be a very fragile thing, and it's easy for the real world and our own insecurities and fears to entangle it until we think it's gone.

I think it's a pity this piece got a DD... because many of your other pieces are MUCH better and in some cases really "wow"-outloud. It makes me a little sad because you have a really interesting gallery and excellent eye for composition, lighting and colour, and I think many people will not look at the rest of your gallery because this piece doesn't reflect the quality of the majority of your work. I'm glad YOU got a DD, because you really do have artistic skill in a medium (digital) that is often stuck with looking flat and contrived.
There seems to be a problem with JPG compression and some very abrupt hard edges and lack of consistancy with lighting. It's weird... from looking at your gallery I can't figure out if you render at a low resolution or perhaps at a small size and then resize manually, because I see "jaggy" edges quite often, which take away from an otherwise excellently composed piece of work and a really interesting concept... and that is why I think there seems to be a lot of "omg boobs are the focus" comments instead of appreciation for what you were trying to get across (I'm assuming there... you might have been trying to focus on the boobs 
From going through your whole gallery (which my husband and I did) I can see you're an excellent artist, and that you appear to be playing around with a new style... that's great, it's good to experiment. But don't loose the softness and attention to detail that you seem to have used in past work.
Keep it up! I am going to watch your gallery, because it's inspiring and makes me want to try some things myself, and those are always gallerys I want to keep an eye on for when I'm feeling stuck in my own work.

I do agree with everything you said. I never thought this image will make DD. It was just an experiment in alpha plains. About the pixel feelings, It is some times intentional and some are due to my impatient with 3D render time.

I hear ya about those render times... I dabble in a little terragen and boy, some of those 28 hour renders are killer! I think it's a testament to your skill that even with your impatience

great composition i loved the fact that some parts are colored so it doesn't look too "3D" and too sharp, i really loved the dynamics and i think that this pic really shows it's title "hope0"
the only think that bothers me is the line where her waist should be.. there is this purple line there, and it has zigzags and it doesn't flow with the rest of the overall paints of the picture.. it's too squared up
i especially loved the hands and the colores are great the only thing that i'm missing is just a bit of blue.

(because i'm assuming the messy dark part is the stuff which you need hope to get through, hardship and whatnot .. so the light of the picture, the woman, is the hope ... and the focal point of the woman in this is her breasts..)

actually, while my male eye does immediately go to her breasts, the focus of the image is more around the barbs, etc. entangling her, and her hand reaching for the light. I'd say the image portrays hope very well.

congrats on the DD. It almost looks like she is being cut in half. And her torso is falling backwards. I get a sense of this based on her left side that looks like it is being attacked by that machine thing

I had a hard time telling whether this as a drawing, a CGI concept, or a photo.
Then I saw the Category this was in and I was just floored.
In any of those cases, this is just plain cool.
The messy business that draws the viewer upward, the mix of organic and synthetic materials, the flow of the female body, all are master strokes.
This definitely warrants a DD.
