Description
This was supposed to be an animated gif I made, but unfortunately, deviant art could not handle it and accept it as submission. Instead of trying multiple times to upload the gif, I have just the image of the phonograph.

I thought it would be interesting to do a bit of history on music record while also demonstrating it through animation as well. The phonograph was created by Thomas Edison in the early 1980s to record and play back music. Initially it played on wax cylinders. Emile Berliner invented discs in the early 1900s that was played on a different device, particularly gramophone. Eventually the disc record was favored over wax cylinders and then mass produced. Later the discs were made with polyvinyl chloride in the 1940s, hence the name vinyl. Vinyl records remain popular and was revived in the new century as the sound quality records on WAV format. It can be played on any record player now days.
