Description Quite a busy weekend and to try to fit all three prompts into one was quite a task. I had thought of the last one as it was obvious but the other two involved with a lot of research. The patch would be the cloth that acts as a covering over the slither or the stack of limestone as it was called in older English. Risk is the boardgame obviously. The game was made by filmmaker Albert Lamorisse in 1957 called Conquest of the World. The Parker Bros. bought the rights to the game and sold it as Risk: The Game of Global Domination in 1959. The game was very popular and inspired other games like Axis & Allies and Settlers of Catan. The goal is to conquer territories from other players this eliminating them. It involves strategies and alliances to win the game.
(I'm terrible with this game but it caught my attention because it uses geographical terms and locations based on actual locations and landmarks I was not expecting. Geography is tied strongly to history, a subject I'm interested in and what better way to finish off the challenge with a game that relates to history in some way.)
