I'm quite pleased with my chess set. The pieces are all made from scratch! 32 pieces is quite a lot, I tell you... I like some pieces more than others, but I guess that's unavoidable. I wish you could all see this in real life though, it's much better than the photos. For instance, the Doctor's hair came out wonderfully, but can hardly be seen here.
Size: the board is 31x31 cm (exactly 1 foot square). The tallest pieces are the kings, they are almost 7 cm tall (2.75 inch). The Daleks are the smallest, they are about 3 cm high (1.2 inch). All pieces are made out of polymer clay.
So we have the 'good' and the 'evil' side.

I have to admit I don't enjoy chess myself, although I loved it as a kid. I just love the idea of creating all the pieces now
So I'm afraid I wasn't paying much attention when taking these photos. Sorry!What do you guys think?

Fabulous! I would, however, have made the top section of the TARDIS a separate piece that sits on top and the corner pieces went under instead over like you have here. Β Then it would look more like the "real" TARDIS. Oh! I would also make one of the Ood to be Ood Sigma.

Sonic screwdrivers are cool, but they aren't really 'bulky' enough to make good chess pieces. Pawns are always difficult with DW chess sets for some reason. I had the same problems with the second (Eleven) set, and I haven't even got any ideas for the third (Twelve) yet.

This is terrific.
I'm working on a board (judging by my biggest/widest piece, it'll be about 2'4" square) that will be comprised of six smaller boards which magnetically lock together in order to condense space.
It's got a "good" and "evil" side as well, only it's a variety of different fiction... but one of the rooks is the Tardis with the 10th Doctor peeking out, and one of the evil rooks will be a Dalek.
I really REALLY love your selection, especially the evil side. Lady Cassandra is perfect too.
