Description
This is a private project I finally finished after years
It is a battle from a D&D campaign (Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil) I played several years ago. The memorable thing about this particular battle was, that we were 4 player characters against an army of over 50 opponents and no one of us died that day. We were fighting in the corridors of what we called the main gate, hence the title.
The characters were:

Neth - A tiefling rogue fighting with two magic swords (the one jumping)

Anathena - A hexblade about to turn into a halfdragon (shown on the far left with her faithful rat Samoth on her shoulder)

Rex Regis - A dwarf paladin who became a Hammer of Moradin (fighting several opponents in the middle)

Gwendolyn "Gogo" Greythorne - A human fighter/swashbuckler, specialized fighting with a spiked chain and area control.

After the play session, I wanted to create this scene in 3D, but my computer constantly crashed, so I cancelled the project, as my 2D skills weren´t any good back then.
Now I felt comfortable enough to do it in 2D. Hope you like it
