I just wanted to try and draw the very first picture again, but digital. The old version can be found here:Changes, apart from the new "structure":
- I made Megaminds head slightly bigger. It was too small.
- I changed Megaminds hands. They didn't look right to me.
- I made Megaminds lower arm shorter. It was too long.
- I made Megaminds skin darker. Maybe it's a bit on the dark side now (..), but was far too light on the first version, mainly because of the scan.
What do you think? Does it lose its "charm"?

I like it! I agree with all your changes too. It was kinda funny how in the original it looks like he's trying to let his hand drop a bit lower than he's sure she'd be OK with, just to see if he can get away with it, but that might just be my dirty mind. LOL

Hehe, yeah, but that effect wasn't intended. I mean, the colour pencil version was the very first drawing I made after a break of more than 6 years, so in my defense....

ahh they're so perfect! this is gorgeous~ and it doesn't lose its charm. I know how it is to have scans that don't capture the real life thing though. :/

Thank you. It's very much a matter if taste... Scans: I noticed it's better to take a photo with a good camera. The structure of the paper won't be as visible.

Me agrada, pero me gusta por un lado la versión anterior...Aun así no deja de gustarme... No le note nada de malo, en la mano de él ahí atras, hasta que alguien mas lo menciono, y sin embargo, no le veo por ese sentido. Tengo esta de fondo en mi Pc, y no me canso de verla...Aunque si voy a hacer una pequeña observación sobre la versión digital...Me gustaria que la tonalidad de piel azul de Megamind fuera menos oscura; no tan descolorida como se ve en la versión primera, pero si un poquito menos, para que a simple vista no se confunda con la misma tonalidad de azul que lleva en la capa...Y por otro lado, por un momento se me vino a la idea de que Roxanne se veria mucho mas linda con un vestido rojo, de tirantes y la espalda descubierta. Pero cuando lo analice mejor, comprendi que no seria buena idea, porque entonces daria de nuevo a entender algo de doble sentido, como ya lo demostro la mano atras.

Es una cuestión de gusto. Personalmente, prefiero la versión digital. Pero yo soy un perfeccionista. No puedo dormir si tengo que mirar un cuadro con los errores o puntos débiles. Por eso también me lleva muchas horas para terminar un dibujo. Es muy difícil para mí para crear un dibujo "rápida". Odio dibujos inacabados e imperfectos - me hacen sentir nervioso.

¡Oh! Sí me gusta digital también, amo esta imagen, solo quería hacerle ver lo que yo veo. No se inquiete, sí...A mi me pasa algo parecido, pero cuando escribo, al no encontrarme satisfecha con lo que acabo de escribir, me hace pensar tantas cosas. ¿Sera bueno? ¿Interesante? ¿Aburrido? ¿Malo? Paso toda la noche sin poder dormir, con la idea revoloteando en mi cabeza. Duermo y estoy con la idea, la sueño; despierto y sigue ahí, simplemente no me deja descansar. Tal vez todo artista, o escritor llega a pasar por la misma situación.

I obviously had a lucky hand with this very first picture, that's also the reason why I made a new, digital version of it.
Got hit by a pretty dark and serious tendency shortly after.

I love them both in different ways. This one seems somewhat, I don't know, "clearer" is the word that comes to mind. But I prefer the textures of the original, especially where the clothes are concerned.

I have to say, when I compare the two here on the computer, I like the digital version better. But looking at the original, I like that one better... It just doesn't look as good on the computer, the structure of the paper gets very strong, and some colours seem much paler.
