Description
Anyone who frequents the suggestions forum will know that a lot of people have complained about the new submission page and are trying to get the old page back. It's not coming back, so the arguments are getting kind of annoying. I like the page and it works fine for me so I thought I would make a stamp to show it.The text was hard to fit in and make it readable, and I'm not too sure if I like the images, so feel free to add some suggestions.

Heh, well this had been made years ago, back when the submission page had been revised to some newer version. I honestly forget what changes had inspired this.

I personally don't like it because it doesn't feel new, just like they rearranged it and slapped a "New" label on it, that and the fact it makes things overly complicated, such as the idea of a preview image being required and changing the title to anything different than the file will prevent the image from being shown. Call it bitching if that what's you want but I say the old one was incredibly useful. If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Heh, well this stamp was made a while ago when they last changed the submit page. Although I still think that the current new submit page is really nice.
Although I'm confused what you mean about preview images being required, or the title being different preventing the submission from working. Those sound like bugs.

ah interesting, didn't know that. so it's the one before this new one with the white pattern.
yeah probably, and when I mean preview image on this new one you need a preview image for each deviation so if you want the real image to be shown you have to upload the image twice. as for the titile it's probably more of a bug. for example I drew a Mirage fighter jet, put it up and changed the title for the deviation to be different from the file name. I went to my page and saw a white box with a red x in the upper left hand corner. but like I said this new one doesn't really feel so

Although it's a bit slow on my laptop, but that's just my laptop. T_T
The text could be a thinner, but sharp font with a slight bit more spacing between the words...
And if that doesn't make it stand out enough, a slight, but dark, shadow could be added.
If that works, then it could be separated so that the three little icons could be set in the middle rather than off to the side. Giving them a little more room would allow them to be their normal size, and a tad less fuzzy. (Boosting the contrast on just the icons might help that, too.)

Yup. The complaint most people have is that it doesn't work. But that's mostly due to the amount of people using the site and the slowness of the servers. Not the new submission page.

Yeah. I can still remember when people were bitching left and right about the new submission page. Yes, it was something to get used to and yes, it had problems at first So what?
I think the brunt of the problem lies on the end-user rather than the submission page itself. I always updated Firefox when necessary, so I never had any major problems with stuff like submissions

You got it exactly. An up to date browser has no problems. I've never ran into any problems, other than a few times when the servers were slow and wouldn't take my file. But that was due to slow servers, not the submission page.
It's not that hard to update your browser or use javascript, but hey, some people just want the old style web stuff

Same with the submission page, if you look at it closely: People were complaining that the old system was too long, but when the new submission page was released, some people complained that it was too short

Thanks for understanding the interesting position the new page brings.
It's still not perfect, but they're working out a lot of bugs. And the new servers dA will be putting in should speed things up quite a bit

I'm sure about that.. it's just that I don't have a lot of time for dA and the bugs make it even worse. It's only normal I'm feeling upset. New servers? Nice

Yeah, the bugs are pretty annoying, but they keep the main tools going fairly well despite them.

I'm always amazed at the number of people that complain about new features.
I'm going to start linking people to $randomduck 's comment about the new page staying here. He also said that they'll be working out some bugs so I hope the complaints start to die down.

I don't get it either. People must be using really old browsers that don't support any of the web 2.0 stuff. The new page is just quicker and easier to use.

Yeah, ALOT quicker, and you get to see everything you are submitting, you get the thumbnail jus incase you screw up! and youdont have to keep searching for what category you wanna submit too, especially when it gives you the categories you already use most.
People should just die.
