Yes i see what you mean...I was limited for space as ther was a wall behind me and the lens i had at the time didn't allow me to go wider. Sadly the building has been demolished so i can't even revisit.

The composition and idea are very interesting, but this photo misses something. Maybe It'd be better to make an accent on moving up or down, tilting the camera(to the ground floor or the first one) and maybe moving it left or right to show the door through the railing.
Maybe the upper right part looks empty.

After all if the weather was more sunny the light'd make the shadows very strong, and the colours more catching.
